Attending the “Creating Projects for the Planet: Climate Action Education for PK-12 Classrooms” session was a truly inspiring experience. We gathered as educators, united by a shared vision to empower the next generation to take action for our planet. The session was a rich tapestry of ideas, practical examples, and heartfelt stories, woven together to illustrate how climate action education can be a powerful force for change.
On our second day at ISTE we shared about the intersection of edtech and climate action. This session was a whirlwind of ideas, inspirations, and action-oriented strategies to empower educators and learners. We had the pleasure of Zooming in two dynamic youth voices, as well as hearing from NASA and computer science expert David Lockett. Here’s a snapshot of our session!
The instructional design playground aimed to transform classrooms into a hub of innovation and creativity and challenged participants to Teach Boldly in their K-12 Classrooms! This exciting event, organized by a team of passionate educators, provided an interactive space where teachers could explore bold new teaching strategies.
