Education Program, Project Manager (International) – Climate Education Nonprofit
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our nonprofit team and lead the project management of a global social action education project and support community development efforts globally. The ideal candidate will be passionate about international development, education, and nonprofit work, with a proven track record in managing complex projects, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring successful program outcomes.
Full-time opportunity. Remote position with occasional travel. High-speed broadband access required.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and oversee project timelines, deliverables, and goals, ensuring successful implementation of the project.
- Recruitment of Participants & Localization: Lead outreach and recruitment efforts to engage schools, educators, and students in program activities. Adapt and localize program materials and initiatives to align with cultural, linguistic, and regional needs.
- Stakeholder & Partner Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with educational program partners and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and impact.
- Monitoring & Delivering on KPIs: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of initiatives, using data-driven approaches and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Communications & Messaging: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the initiative’s goals, including managing messaging across various platforms, creating content, and ensuring brand consistency.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular project reports, impact assessments, and updates for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in project management, preferably within a nonprofit or education-related setting.
- Strong understanding of global education systems, international development, and nonprofit operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in stakeholder reporting.
- Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis software.
- Experience working in cross-cultural environments and with diverse global teams.
- Passion for education, social impact, and global development.
